Apple introduced HomeView, a smart display with a 7-inch Liquid Retina screen that handles music, FaceTime and smart home control. It recognizes up to six people by their faces and runs Siri AI. Both the tabletop model and HomeView (Wall Mounted) cost $299 (U.S.). Pre-orders start today, and both models are available beginning Friday, November 13.

Apple today introduced Apple HomeView, a smart display with a 7-inch Liquid Retina screen that brings entertainment, FaceTime calls and smart home management together in one place. It is powered by Apple Intelligence with Siri AI.

Tabletop and wall-mounted designs. The tabletop HomeView pairs an aluminum design and the 7-inch display with a domed speaker base, joined by a stainless steel hinge that tilts. It comes in silver, starlight, rose pink and space gray, each with a matching cable. A separate HomeView (Wall Mounted) model in space gray and silver attaches to a wall with one of three purpose-built mounts from Schneider Home.

The display supports True Tone, and automatic brightness adjusts from 500 nits down to 0.3 nits. Apple says the interface shows simpler information from across the room and more detail as you step closer.

Personal for up to six people. HomeView recognizes up to six people by their faces, and each gets a personalized Home Screen with their own apps and widgets. Apple says content in apps like Messages and Calendar only appears when the enrolled user is recognized and their paired iPhone or iPad is present and recently unlocked. Shared photo albums and music can be enjoyed by everyone in the household, including guests.

Siri AI built in. HomeView features Siri AI, Apple's new version of Siri. With an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, it can draw on each person's personal context. Apple says even users without one get Siri AI's broad world knowledge, natural conversations and improved music discovery. Conversations that start on HomeView continue in the Siri app on other Apple devices.

Sound, FaceTime and the smart home. The tabletop model has two full-range drivers in the display, plus a down-firing woofer and two force-cancelling passive radiators in the base. FaceTime uses Center Stage, and the Home Camera face can livestream up to nine camera feeds at once. HomeView also listens for smoke or carbon monoxide alarms and works with the new Apple Home Collection accessories from LG Electronics and Schneider Electric, as well as other Works with Apple Home and Matter accessories.

Apple says HomeView and its A18 chip include Secure Exclaves, which process camera and microphone data separately from the rest of the system.

Price and availability. Apple HomeView and Apple HomeView (Wall Mounted) each cost $299 (U.S.). Pre-orders start today in Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, the UK and the U.S., with both models available beginning Friday, November 13. Pre-orders in Singapore start Thursday, October 15. The Schneider Home Power Mount USB-C Wall Connector starts at $59.95 and the Power Mount AC Wired at $79.95; the Power Mount PoE Wired arrives in early 2027 for $129.95.
