Separate Bloomberg coverage from April and May details additional iOS 27 elements, including a fully customizable pro-oriented Camera app that lets users select and position controls such as flash, exposure, timer and resolution. Visual Intelligence is slated to move directly into the Camera app as a dedicated Siri mode alongside standard photo and video options.
Apple is also developing AI-powered photo-editing tools for the Photos app under its Apple Intelligence platform, covering extension, enhancement and reframing of images across iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27. Earlier reports noted plans for users to select third-party AI models for certain features.
The June conference is expected to unveil these updates, which will ship this fall. The changes aim to strengthen Apple’s position in digital assistants and on-device AI amid competition from other platforms.
