Kingdom Hearts 4 has received its most extensive showcase yet with an extended trailer and developer insights at a D23 panel on August 15, 2026.

The extended trailer expands on new worlds and combat. The four-minute version, shown during the panel, includes additional cutscenes from the Coco world, Sora's fight against a new Heartless in Quadratum, and gameplay footage. It also teases segments where players do not control Sora.
Mickey explores his own world with puzzle-based game design, including platforming where players transform into large, small, and paper-thin versions of an origami Mickey, similar to exploratory segments in Paper Mario games.
