OpenAI said Tuesday it has acquired Orchestra Bio, a platform that helps biopharma teams coordinate drug development.

What Orchestra does. Orchestra Bio is a platform where people and AI agents work together on drug programs. Scientists and program leaders hand off the monitoring and tracking of studies to agents, which identify which activities and timelines are affected when something goes wrong, such as a failed manufacturing batch delaying a clinical trial, and help teams address issues before they cause delays.

Joining Rosalind. OpenAI is combining Orchestra's team and technology with Rosalind, its AI models and tools for life sciences research, which include GPT-Rosalind and Rosalind Workbench. OpenAI said the goal is to build agents that connect scientific findings with the studies and decisions needed to advance a potential medicine.
