Meta's Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses went on sale October 13 starting at $349 USD, according to Meta. Meta calls them its first audio glasses and its lightest AI glasses yet at 43 grams, with up to 12 hours of battery life and prescription lenses on every style.

Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses went on general sale on October 13, starting at $349 USD, according to Meta. They are available to buy now rather than as a preorder; coverage of the launch says they are on sale in the U.S. Meta first showed the glasses at Meta Connect 2026 and calls them its first audio glasses.

Built around sound. Meta says audio has always been the most-used feature on its AI glasses. Ray-Ban Meta Audio uses open-ear speakers for music, calls and Meta AI, letting wearers hear their surroundings at the same time.

Lightest and longest-lasting, per Meta. At 43 grams, Meta says these are its lightest and slimmest AI glasses. It rates them for up to 12 hours on a charge, or up to 6 hours of continuous audio. The included charging case adds up to 48 more hours, and fast charging reaches 50% in 22 minutes, Meta says.

Two Ray-Ban styles, prescription-ready. The glasses come in the Clubmaster and Burbank styles, in 23 frame and lens combinations. Meta says every combination is available with prescription lenses. For comfort, they have over-extension hinges, adjustable temple tips, and swappable or adjustable nose pads depending on the style.

Where to buy. Meta is selling them on Meta.com and Ray-Ban.com, in Ray-Ban and Meta Lab stores, at EssilorLuxottica's own stores and at select third-party retailers. Meta says it will offer more than 100 AI glasses options with EssilorLuxottica by the end of the year.

How it compares with Ray-Ban Meta. There's no camera. Engadget's review says the glasses ditch the feature most associated with "creep glasses." That also means no photos or video and no visual AI. On battery, Engadget lists Ray-Ban Meta Audio at up to 12 hours, versus 9 hours plus 50 from the case for Gen 3 and 8 hours plus 48 from the case for Gen 2. Engadget says Audio has six microphones and sounds "just as good as" its Gen 2 glasses. The Verge says the glasses ship with Muse Spark, and that their FDA-cleared hearing assistance feature isn't available yet.

What it means for you. If you mainly want hands-free audio and an assistant rather than a camera, Ray-Ban Meta Audio is a lighter, longer-lasting option in Meta's lineup at $349. If you want to capture photos or video, or use visual AI, the camera-equipped Ray-Ban Meta models are still the ones to look at.
