AMD has rolled out version 4.1 of its FSR upscaling technology for Radeon RX 7000-series graphics cards. Owners of these RDNA 3-based GPUs can now benefit from sharper visuals and more fluid frame rates across supported titles.
The company had indicated during May that RX 7000 support would land in July, yet the feature arrived several weeks early.

Plans are also underway to integrate FSR 4.1 into RDNA 3 APUs; according to AMD’s Jack Huynh the firm is “developing lightweight machine learning models to bring FSR 4.1 to even more devices.” In addition, the technology is slated to reach RDNA 2 cards during the first months of 2027.

Huynh noted that more than 300 games already include the newer upscaler. Two further titles will join that list soon: Doom: The Dark Ages Revelations on July 7 and Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced on July 9.
