CVE-2026-108971 is a critical signature-verification flaw in the D-Link DCS-930L camera's Emergency HTTP Recovery Server on firmware B1.08B4. VulDB rates it 9.6 (CVSS 3.1), and an exploit is public. D-Link lists the DCS-930L as End-of-Life / End-of-Service, so no fix is expected; D-Link recommends retiring and replacing it.

A critical vulnerability, CVE-2026-108971, affects the D-Link DCS-930L network camera running firmware B1.08B4, according to the CVE record and NVD entry published Oct. 13.
An attacker can launch the attack remotely without authentication or user interaction.
The flaw is an improper verification of a cryptographic signature (CWE-347). It sits in the mpfd_decode function of bootloader_region.bin, part of the camera's Emergency HTTP Recovery Server. Manipulating the firmware argument can bypass signature verification. The attack can be launched remotely and needs no authentication, though it does require some user interaction.
