FreeRDP versions 3.29.0 through 3.31.x contain an integer overflow in the Apple audio input backends (CVE-2026-111380). A malicious RDP server can supply a FramesPerPacket value of 2^30, causing undersized AudioQueueAllocateBuffer allocations and a heap out-of-bounds write on macOS and iOS clients. VulnCheck rates the flaw 8.8 under CVSS 3.1 and 8.7 under CVSS 4.0.

FreeRDP versions from 3.29.0 before 3.32.0 contain an integer overflow in the Apple audio input backends (CVE-2026-111380).
A malicious RDP server can supply a FramesPerPacket value of 2^30 inside the audin Open PDU.
VulnCheck as the CNA rates the flaw 8.8 under CVSS 3.1 and 8.7 under CVSS 4.0. Both scores fall in the high-severity range. The vector shows network attack vector, low complexity, no privileges required, and user interaction needed, with high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

The flaw sits in the audin_mac.m and audin_ios.m files. These files calculate the audio queue buffer size as FramesPerPacket multiplied by two and then by nChannels using UINT32 arithmetic. The calculation bypasses the earlier fix for CVE-2026-91962. A malicious RDP server can supply a FramesPerPacket value of 2^30 inside the audin Open PDU.
The overflow produces undersized AudioQueueAllocateBuffer allocations.
The overflow produces undersized AudioQueueAllocateBuffer allocations. The result is a heap out-of-bounds write that affects macOS and iOS clients. The vulnerability requires a user to connect to a malicious server for exploitation to occur.
