Microsoft Delays Fable Reboot to February 2027
Microsoft has delayed its Fable reboot from autumn 2026 to February 2027 to give the game a dedicated launch window in a fall packed with major titles including GTA VI. The company will reveal a new look at Fable during its Xbox Games Showcase on June 7 but will not discuss its next-generation Project Helix console.

The game is set to come to Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PS5 when it is released. Microsoft also isn’t going to share news about Project Helix, the next-generation Xbox console, during the Xbox Games Showcase. Matt Booty, Xbox’s chief content officer, said this in an episode of the Official Xbox Podcast released on Friday.
Earlier this month, Microsoft promised that it would share more about Helix “later this year.” The delay announcement and showcase details come as the company manages an increasingly competitive release calendar across its first-party titles and major third-party releases.
