OpenAI is seeking to accelerate a roughly $30 billion funding round ahead of rival Anthropic's expected mid-November public listing, Reuters reported on Oct. 19, citing people familiar with the matter.

OpenAI has not confirmed the round.

According to Reuters, the round could value OpenAI at more than $1.4 trillion, and SoftBank, Abu Dhabi-based MGX and other existing investors are in talks to participate. The financing is not finalized.
