Oracle's October 2026 Critical Patch Update fixes dozens of vulnerabilities in PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools, according to the CVE records Oracle published to the National Vulnerability Database on Oct. 20. The flaws affect supported versions 8.61 through 8.63.

One vulnerability carries a critical rating. CVE-2026-101420, in the SQR component, carries a CVSS 3.1 score of 9.6 from Oracle. Oracle says a low-privileged attacker with network access over HTTP can easily exploit it to create, delete or change critical data and read all data PeopleTools can access. Because the scope changes, attacks can also significantly affect other products.
One vulnerability carries a critical rating.

Several others allow takeover. Three Business Interlink flaws (CVE-2026-101390, CVE-2026-101410 and CVE-2026-101411) score 7.5 to 8.1 and can lead to takeover of PeopleTools. Two of them need no login, though Oracle rates them hard to exploit. A PsAdmin flaw, CVE-2026-101416, scores 7.5 and requires access to the adjacent network.

Other high-severity issues hit data. CVE-2026-101431 in Test Framework scores 8.7, and Report Distribution flaws CVE-2026-101422 and CVE-2026-101427 score 8.1. An SQR flaw, CVE-2026-101421, scores 7.5 and lets an unauthenticated attacker read data. The rest are rated medium or low, with none higher than 7.6.

Oracle points customers to its October 2026 advisory. Patch details are on Oracle's October 2026 Critical Patch Update page. Organizations running affected PeopleTools releases should apply the updates through their normal patch process.
