Handset sales dropped. Automotive set a quarterly record. QCT handset revenue was $5,137 million, down 26%. Automotive revenue was $1,990 million, up 89%, which Qualcomm calls its first $2 billion automotive quarter. IoT revenue was $1,888 million, up 4%. Total QCT revenue was $9,015 million, down 8%.

The next-quarter outlook is a range, not a point. Qualcomm guides first-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue to $10.4 billion to $11.2 billion. GAAP diluted earnings guidance is $1.03 to $1.23 a share. The non-GAAP range is $2.15 to $2.35. Cristiano Amon, president and chief executive, said fourth-quarter non-GAAP revenue came in "at the high end of our guidance."

The company restated two fiscal 2027 targets. Amon said non-handset revenue is projected to grow by more than 60% year over year, and the company is reiterating a fiscal 2027 data-center revenue target of $5 billion. Both figures are projections, not results. The release does not state an after-hours share move.

The Circuitry is a passion project I've always wanted to build, and I love the work behind it.

Running it costs real money. APIs, hosting, time. To keep improving the site and growing this into something useful for everyone, those costs have to be covered.

Any contribution is appreciated. If not, no pressure. Thanks for reading.

OpenAI says its AI pipeline built 948 Linux kernel root exploits for $1.2M

OpenAI says a mid-October research run with an unnamed upcoming cyber model validated and generated patches for 948 Linux local privilege escalation flaws at an API cost of about $1.2 million. The company says exploits were tested in isolated VMs until they produced a root shell, and that it has sent hundreds of reports and patches while working with Patch the Planet partners and Linux maintainers. OpenAI has not said those patches are accepted upstream.
