Revolta has installed and commissioned its first customer sodium-ion home battery near Aschaffenburg, Germany. The Frankfurt company calls the job the start of a commercial launch, and says the rollout is still a pilot.

The system is five modules and 10 kWh. The high-voltage pack runs at a nominal 450 V and uses five modules for a combined 10 kWh. The property already has about 20 kW of solar and a small hydro plant in a former mill. Revolta said the owner had been waiting for a sodium-ion battery, and gave greater energy independence as the reason.
The company lists 599 euros per 2 kWh module and 2,995 euros for the 10 kWh module set.

The data sheet sets the module specs. Each 2 kWh module weighs 18.7 kg, has IP64 protection, and uses three cells. The cells charge and discharge at 0.4 C, which the report describes as a 2.5-hour duration. Published energy density is 141 Wh per liter and 107 Wh per kilogram. The install uses an SMA inverter. The company's announcement did not give a rated power, a cycle life, or an efficiency figure.

More pilot sites are planned in the coming weeks. Revolta said it will put systems at selected customer sites across Germany. Pilot customers get a measuring device at no charge so the company can collect daily operating data for its battery management system and firmware.

The list price is separate from the announcement. The company lists 599 euros per 2 kWh module and 2,995 euros for the 10 kWh module set. That price does not include the rest of the equipment needed for an installation. Revolta said it is sold out for 2026 and is taking reservations for 2027, with priority for people who make a down payment.

A state grant is for a different project. The report says Revolta was granted funding a few weeks ago from the European Regional Development Fund through the German state of Hesse. The money is for a project the company describes as a highly efficient AC salt battery. The report does not give the grant amount.

The Circuitry is a passion project I've always wanted to build, and I love the work behind it.

Running it costs real money. APIs, hosting, time. To keep improving the site and growing this into something useful for everyone, those costs have to be covered.

Any contribution is appreciated. If not, no pressure. Thanks for reading.
