Tesla Robotaxi, LLC now has 573 Cybercabs on the Texas DMV's automated-vehicle list, 29 more than earlier Tuesday; registered vehicles are not vehicles in service.

Tesla added 29 more Cybercabs to its Texas automated-vehicle registration late Tuesday, Oct 27, raising the Cybercab count to 573, according to trackers that read Texas DMV records. The Texas DMV's list for Tesla Robotaxi, LLC now totals 1,080 vehicles: 573 Cybercabs and 507 Model Ys. The Cybercab count was 544 earlier the same day.

The pace has picked up sharply. Trackers show roughly 220 Cybercabs added since Oct 22, when the count was 351. Different trackers use different windows, so exact week-over-week totals vary slightly. Cybercabs are now about 53% of Tesla's registered Texas robotaxi fleet.

A registration is not the same as a car carrying riders. The state list shows each vehicle's VIN, model year and model, not whether it is in service or where it runs. Tesla said on Oct 10 that more than 300 Cybercabs were serving Austin, its only city with public Cybercab rides. Tesla has not published a current in-service count. One community tracker has logged 228 distinct Cybercabs carrying riders, an unofficial figure.
