Xbox Reveals 25th Anniversary Translucent Series X25 Console

Xbox is marking its 25th anniversary with a new limited edition console and controller that draw directly from the original Xbox design.

Xbox launches translucent Series X25 Limited Edition console. The Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition brings a translucent OG Green design to the Xbox Series X for the first time. It includes 1 TB of storage and maintains the power and performance of the standard Xbox Series X while incorporating subtle tributes to the brand's history.

The console features an iconic “X” that lights up in green when powered on, referencing the original Xbox startup animation. An Xbox 25th Anniversary logo appears on the front alongside other design elements that celebrate Xbox fans and classic hardware.

Special edition controller echoes original Duke design. The Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition uses the same translucent OG Green color scheme. Its details include the original ABXY button colors, timeless green accents, and bumpers that honor the black and white buttons on the original “Duke” controller.

The controller's back case and battery door are fully transparent, revealing the classic Xbox logo inside. These elements collectively showcase 25 years of play.

Collection availability set for November with more details coming. The console and controller will be available together as a limited edition collection in select markets in November. The Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition will also be sold separately.

Pricing and preorder availability at select retailers will be shared soon. The announcement forms part of broader 25th anniversary celebrations that thank the community for helping shape Xbox.
