Anthropic opens research preview of Claude Duet, a proactive agent app. It runs on Opus 5.5, sends a morning briefing and asks for approval before sensitive actions like sending messages or making payments. Access starts by waitlist for US Pro and Max subscribers on iOS, Android and claude.ai.

Anthropic says it is opening a research preview of Claude Duet, a proactive agent that tracks ongoing work and surfaces only what needs the user's attention.

Waitlist access starts in the US. According to Anthropic, the preview opens by waitlist to Pro and Max subscribers in the United States first. Duet uses the same usage limits as the rest of Claude, the company says.
Duet updated a 12-slide deck with Q3 data, pulled 25 of 26 documents into a data room, and drafted answers to expected questions from Harbor Ventures partners before their Thursday 10 a.m. meeting.

Built on Opus 5.5. Anthropic says Duet runs on Opus 5.5 and draws on the memory, skills and apps users already have in Claude. The company says it works with more than 6,000 connectors and plugins.

A morning briefing sets the day. Duet sends a morning briefing that lists the items needing attention, according to Anthropic. Users can also hand it larger multi-step jobs, such as updating a pitch deck or preparing meeting materials, to work through in the background.

Approval before sensitive actions. Anthropic says Duet asks for your approval before sensitive actions like sending messages or making payments. Once a choice is made, it carries out the step and reports back.
Duet built Marlo Pulse, which pulls data from point-of-sale systems, Shopify, CRM, support inbox, payroll, and bank accounts.

Available on phones and the web. Duet is a standalone app on iOS and Android and is also available on claude.ai, Anthropic says.

The Circuitry is a passion project I've always wanted to build, and I love the work behind it.

Running it costs real money. APIs, hosting, time. To keep improving the site and growing this into something useful for everyone, those costs have to be covered.

Any contribution is appreciated. If not, no pressure. Thanks for reading.
