Assassin's Creed Shadows final update ties to Black Flag Resynced

Ubisoft will end major post-launch support for Assassin's Creed Shadows with its last significant patch (Title Update 1.1.11) on June 16. It adds the roughly two-hour Black Tides story conclusion for Naoe and Yasuke while linking their narrative to Edward Kenway in the upcoming Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced (targeting July 9). The update also introduces replayable Domains challenges, a new Horizon Rift, and bidirectional cosmetic crossover rewards between the two titles.

Ubisoft delivers the final major update for Assassin's Creed Shadows on June 16. Title Update 1.1.11 adds Black Tides as a concluding story arc, Domains as repeatable trials, and Animus Hub projects. The content ties narratively and with cosmetics to the upcoming Black Flag Resynced. This patch ends major support for Shadows.

Ubisoft will end major post-launch support for the title with its last significant patch, scheduled to land on June 16 across every platform except the Nintendo Switch 2, which receives it later. Title Update 1.1.11 delivers a fresh narrative segment, repeatable endgame trials, expanded Animus Hub material, and a direct narrative bridge to the forthcoming "Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced."

At the heart of the patch sits Black Tides, a concluding story arc for the dual leads Naoe and Yasuke. A Ubisoft news release calls the roughly two-hour addition the endpoint for both characters and notes that it feeds straight into the adventures of Edward Kenway, the central figure in the remade pirate adventure, thereby binding the two releases together.
The exchange runs both ways: once "Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced" ships on July 9, its owners can earn outfits based on the feudal Japan setting for Edward Kenway.
The patch also adds Domains, five evolving simulations built for replay value. These activities rotate gameplay modifiers that push combat proficiency and character optimization; finishing them yields fresh equipment, unique rewards, and hidden extras.

Access to Black Tides requires completion of the base campaign plus the earlier story drops "A Critical Encounter" and "A Puzzlement," yet owners do not need the Claws of Awaji expansion.

A new Modern-Day Rift called Horizon arrives with minimal advance description. Ubisoft’s statement reads: "This newly opened Rift reveals emerging threats. The Eagle will provide more information about the Guide…"
The Animus Hub receives two additional projects named Undertow and Riptides. Each grants cosmetic items drawn from the pirate era, letting players dress Naoe and Yasuke in new themed attire. The exchange runs both ways: once "Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced" ships on July 9, its owners can earn outfits based on the feudal Japan setting for Edward Kenway.
The studio has framed the patch as the title’s last large-scale content drop while deliberately using its closing chapter to set the stage for the next major entry in the long-running franchise.

Ubisoft patch notes and sknr.net provide primary corroboration for the bidirectional crossover; the July 9 Resynced date matches previously reported information.

Unreal Engine 5.8 gains Unreal MCP plugin for direct LLM integration

Epic Games introduced the Unreal MCP plugin for Unreal Engine 5.8, letting large language models interface directly with the editor through text prompts to generate furniture, build cityscapes or implement player hazards.
