IonQ said third-quarter GAAP revenue was $173.8 million, up 336%, its sixth straight record quarter. It raised 2026 revenue guidance to $505 million to $515 million. Remaining performance obligations more than doubled to $1.2 billion. The GAAP profit includes a non-cash warrant gain.

IonQ said on November 5 that third-quarter GAAP revenue was $173.8 million, up 336% from a year earlier. The quarter ended September 30. The company called it the sixth straight record quarter and raised full-year 2026 revenue guidance to $505 million to $515 million.
Our Remaining Performance Obligations more than doubled to $1.2 billion, even as we converted our backlog into record third quarter revenues.
Our Remaining Performance Obligations more than doubled to $1.2 billion, even as we converted our backlog into record third quarter revenues. That $1.2 billion figure is remaining performance obligations, not a separate bookings total. The wire title calls it backlog. IonQ said quantum computing was about two-thirds of new contract dollars signed by the IonQ Platform segment. It expects quantum computing revenue to grow 110% for the full year. That 110% is a forecast, not the third-quarter growth rate.

The two segments add up to the quarter's revenue. IonQ Platform revenue was $90.3 million, up 127%. SkyWater Foundry Services revenue was $83.5 million. The company did not give a SkyWater growth rate in the figures used here.

The GAAP profit is not operating earnings. Net income attributable to IonQ was $564.0 million, or $1.42 a share on a basic basis. Diluted earnings were $1.35 a share. The quarter included an $857.2 million non-cash gain from changes in fair value, which the company tied to warrant mark-to-market. Adjusted EBITDA was a loss of $133.6 million. Adjusted earnings were a loss of $0.29 a share.

Cash is stated on a pro forma basis. IonQ said cash and investments were $3.7 billion as of September 30, pro forma for an equity offering on October 16. It did not give a separate as-reported cash figure in the lines used here. A DARPA Quantum Benchmarking Initiative Stage C award has a potential program value of up to $300 million. That is potential, not booked revenue. IonQ said it is the only trapped-ion company to reach that stage. It also said a Superion 256 system will be the first on-premise quantum computer at Nvidia's Accelerated Quantum Research Center. It did not say that system is installed.

The Circuitry is a passion project I've always wanted to build, and I love the work behind it.

Running it costs real money. APIs, hosting, time. To keep improving the site and growing this into something useful for everyone, those costs have to be covered.

Any contribution is appreciated. If not, no pressure. Thanks for reading.
