Meta Newsroom says the company is partnering with five US universities to support research using its models in science and medicine.

Meta Newsroom says the company is partnering with California Institute of Technology, The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Louisiana State University, Indiana University, and UTHealth Houston. Meta is bringing Superintelligence models, research funding, and direct researcher collaboration to support research using its models in medicine, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, and mathematics.

In medicine and healthcare, researchers will use Meta’s models, glasses, and mixed reality headsets. Projects include the Eyes-On computer vision system at Louisiana State University for monitoring infant tracheostomies, multimodal AI methods at Indiana University for dementia care conversations, and models at The Ohio State University College of Medicine to predict heart failure risk from CT scans and medical records.

Meta Newsroom says more details are available on its Research Blog.

The Circuitry is a passion project I've always wanted to build, and I love the work behind it.
