TL;DRAI · 60 sec read

4A Games confirms Metro 2039 reveal at Xbox First Look livestream on April 16, 2026, streaming on YouTube at regional times including 10am PDT. Fourth mainline entry follows nuclear survivors in Moscow subways from Dmitry Glukhovsky's novels, succeeding Metro 2033 (2010), Last Light (2013), and Exodus (2019). Expected on PS5; Saga Bundle on sale until April 22.

4A Games will confirm Metro 2039, the fourth mainline entry in its Metro franchise, during an Xbox First Look livestream on Thursday, 16th April 2026.

The event streams on YouTube at 10am PDT / 1pm EDT for North America, 6pm BST for UK/Ireland, 7pm CEST for Europe, and other regional times including 2am JST on Friday for Asia/Oceania. An Xbox Wire post describes the series, based on Dmitry Glukhovsky's novels, as stories of nuclear survivors in Moscow's subway tunnels and beyond, following Metro 2033 (2010), Metro: Last Light (2013), and Metro Exodus (2019).

Though tied to an Xbox event, Metro 2039 is expected to launch on PS5, as every prior entry has released on PlayStation. The Metro Saga Bundle, including Metro Redux and Metro Exodus for access to all three games so far, is on sale for £4.99 / $5.99 until 22nd April 2026.

Running it costs real money. APIs, hosting, time. To keep improving the site and growing this into something useful for everyone, those costs have to be covered.

Any contribution is appreciated. If not, no pressure. Thanks for reading.

GameStop CEO Forgoes $35B Bonus to Pursue eBay Takeover

GameStop has withdrawn Ryan Cohen's potential $35 billion performance bonus so the CEO can concentrate on acquiring eBay. The decision follows eBay's swift rejection of a $55 billion bid in May and precedes the planned release of additional strategic materials this week.

GTA 6 to use PS5 DualSense features, confirmed PS5 Pro enhanced

Sony and Rockstar Games have detailed several PS5 hardware features that Grand Theft Auto 6 will use exclusively, while confirming the title is PS5 Pro Enhanced without revealing specifics. The announcement doubles as a marketing drive to convert lingering PS4 owners to PlayStation 5 ahead of the game's release.

Valve Opens SteamOS 3.8 to All PC Hardware

Valve has released SteamOS 3.8, enabling anyone to install the operating system on custom PC hardware to create their own Steam Machine. The update expands compatibility beyond AMD-only setups and brings the console-like experience to desktop builds, though Nvidia support remains in development.
