Elon Musk claims Tesla's Full Self-Driving software version 15 will 'far exceed human levels of safety.' He made the statement today on X in response to a user's detailed review of FSD v14.3 after more than 600 miles of testing.
Musk acknowledges that point releases will bring polish to the current version before V15, the next major release, achieves superhuman safety.
This follows identical promises for prior versions. In 2023, Musk claimed Version 12 would far exceed human safety even unsupervised, but it shipped as a supervised Level 2 system and did not deliver. He made virtually the same claim for V14 in 2025.
