Nintendo Shifts Live-Action Zelda Movie Release to April 30, 2027
Nintendo has moved the release of its live-action The Legend of Zelda movie from May 7, 2027 to April 30, 2027. This marks the second change to the film's date as production advances ahead of its 2027 debut.

The announcement was posted on X on Wednesday from the account "This is Miyamoto, Nintendo." The post stated: "We have decided to change the worldwide theatrical release date of the live-action film The Legend of Zelda from May 7, 2027 to April 30, 2027. In order to deliver it to everyone even one day sooner, the team is united in advancing production. It’s less than a year until release, but please wait just a little longer."
This is the second time Nintendo has altered the film's release date. It was originally scheduled for March 27, 2027.

When the date was first changed, Miyamoto said: "It will be some weeks later than the release timing we originally announced, and we will take the extra time to make the film as good as it can be. Thank you for your patience."
The latest move advances the release by one week from the prior schedule. The team is united in advancing production to deliver the film even one day sooner.
Bo Bragason, known for Pinocchio, plays Zelda in the movie. Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, known for Three Girls, stars as Link.
The princess Sheikah bodyguard Impa appears to be in the movie as well. The film is Nintendo's next Hollywood adaptation.
