No Man's Sky Cosmos Update Marks 10th Anniversary

Hello Games has released the Cosmos update for No Man's Sky, which it calls the biggest overhaul the universe has seen in 10 years. The free update arrives one month after the game passed its 10th anniversary and is available today on all platforms.

The Cosmos update adds new space outposts and features. Players can visit new space outposts to trade with aliens. The update also introduces strippable space hulks, asteroid belts and a series of fresh Expeditions that focus on different milestone features added over the last 10 years.

Players can now direct and build in space. Users can become the director of a fully customizable space station. Free-floating orbital bases can be constructed anywhere in space, serving as restaurants, military bases or truck stops.

New navigation and social tools arrive. The update introduces an interactive star system map to track points of interest and chart courses across the large universe. Galactic alliances let players join groups, create a name and banner, meet others and compete for territory on ranked leaderboards.
