OpenAI has confirmed a partial outage for ChatGPT Work that began at approximately 11:04 AM ET on August 31, 2026, preventing some users from starting or continuing tasks. The incident particularly affects Plus subscribers and remains ongoing as the company works on a mitigation.
The disruption is stopping some subscribers from launching new tasks or resuming those already in progress.
Plus plan customers appear to be particularly affected, with Work mode currently unavailable for some of them.
