Two versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 are rumored for debut. The base model is expected to include a wider main display for a better aspect ratio when watching movies and shows. To keep costs down, it may feature only two rear cameras instead of the three on the Z Fold 7.

Samsung is also expected to release the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra as a new top-tier model. It would include display technology resulting in a less obvious crease, an updated processor, three rear cameras and possibly faster charging speeds. The arrival of two different book-style foldables at the same event would mark a first for the company.

Additional wearables and XR glasses could appear. There is a chance the Galaxy Watch 9, Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 or Samsung's upcoming Android XR glasses will make an appearance. Samsung may hold off on full reveals for some or all of those until later this fall.
Samsung has opened reservations ahead of the event that include a $30 credit for anyone who pre-orders. The presentation will stream live on Samsung.com and Samsung's YouTube channel at 9 AM ET on July 22.

CISA Adds Actively Exploited Microsoft Entra ID Flaw to KEV Catalog

CISA added the actively exploited CVE-2026-69836 deserialization vulnerability in Microsoft Entra ID to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on 2026-08-21 with a federal remediation deadline of 2026-08-24. The CVSS 10.0 flaw, already mitigated server-side by Microsoft, allows unauthenticated remote code execution and requires no customer action.

Samsung to Return Up to $80 Billion to Shareholders in 2026

Samsung Electronics expects 90 trillion won to 110 trillion won available for shareholder returns in 2026, labeling the amount the largest ever by a Korean company. The disclosure follows SK Hynix's buyback announcement and reflects the windfall from AI-fueled memory chip sales.

Apple Music Will Require and Display Made With AI Labels

Apple will apply visible Made With AI labels to songs materially generated using AI on Apple Music, making required Transparency Tags mandatory for material AI use. The change addresses the fact that more than a third of monthly uploads are 100% AI-generated while such tracks represent less than 0.5% of listening.
