Earlier reveals included gameplay and a release date. Sony showed off some gameplay in a separate State of Play in September 2025. It revealed the official release date in February.

Insomniac brings deep Marvel game experience to Wolverine. Insomniac has a long history with Marvel games. It was the studio behind the excellent Spider-Man game that launched on PS4 in 2018.
