SpaceX shareholders want to know whether the company will merge with Tesla. "When will SpaceX merge with Tesla?" was the second-most upvoted question, with 26 votes, among those submitted ahead of SpaceX's third-quarter earnings webcast on Tuesday, Reuters reported. The same question drew 128 upvotes on Tesla's investor relations site.

Barclays suggested last week that a deal could be announced before Tesla's Dec. 3 annual meeting, with SpaceX the likelier buyer. Neither company nor Musk has committed to a deal.

The most upvoted question, with 38 votes, asked about progress on Starship's lunar lander hardware. Key pieces of that effort, including refueling in orbit, have yet to be fully demonstrated, according to Reuters.

Questions from analysts and institutional investors focused on AI. One asked what share of AI revenue is under multi-year commitments. Another asked how much contracted Google capacity would remain if a court halted gas turbines at the Colossus 2 data center in Memphis. Reuters noted that SpaceX's AI compute contracts can be terminated on about 90 days' notice.
