Undead Labs prioritizes feedback from State of Decay 2 players first. The studio is focused on its core audience from the previous game. It is checking whether the new title has captured the heart and soul, if players are having fun, and if it matches what they hoped for. The team also wants to gauge reactions from players new to the franchise as testing expands.

Players can sign up for the waitlist to participate at the State of Decay 3 Playtest website. The first wave of playtests will be limited. The studio plans to share insights and feedback with everyone as testing progresses, with more opportunities throughout the year. Signups have been fantastic and are expected to keep growing.
