Volkswagen has introduced the new ID. Cross as an all-electric compact SUV, with advance sales launching immediately in Germany alongside its world premiere.

Volkswagen prices the ID. Cross from 27,995 euros. The model delivers quality, comfort and equipment that reportedly sets new standards in the small car and compact SUV categories at an entry-level price of approximately 28,000 euros.
The ID. Cross brings together technological expertise, clean design, impressive, intricate solutions and genuine all-rounder qualities — all for excellent value for money.
Measuring 4,153 mm in length, 1,581 mm tall and 1,794 mm wide, the vehicle rides on a 2,601 mm wheelbase. It supplies 475 litres of luggage capacity, which is 20 litres more than the combustion-engined T-Cross, while an underfloor compartment beneath the adjustable boot floor accommodates up to two crates of drinks. A 25-litre frunk beneath the bonnet provides further storage, suitable for charging cables and small items.
The ID. Cross offers multiple power and battery options. Three output levels targeting 85 kW, 99 kW and 155 kW will be available together with two net battery capacities of 37 kWh and 52 kWh. These configurations support WLTP ranges reaching up to 427 kilometres.

DC fast charging can replenish the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in approximately 23 minutes. An Innovision infotainment system supplies intuitive controls along with networked capabilities.

Interior and assistance features draw from premium segments. The spacious five-seater creates a comfortable cabin atmosphere through fabric-covered surfaces and high-quality materials. Optional upgrades encompass a premium audio setup, massage seats, Connected Travel Assist featuring automatic traffic light detection, updated parking aids and adaptive DCC suspension.

Its exterior adopts Volkswagen’s Pure Positive design philosophy, which emphasises visual stability, a welcoming look, an extended “flying roof,” a robust C-pillar and distinctive lighting elements. Thomas Schäfer, CEO of the Volkswagen brand, Head of the Brand Group Core and member of the Group Board of Management, said: “The ID. Cross brings together technological expertise, clean design, impressive, intricate solutions and genuine all-rounder qualities — all for excellent value for money.”
Positioned after the ID. Polo and ID. Polo GTI, the ID. Cross forms part of Volkswagen’s latest wave of small cars and compact models focused on customer preferences.
