AMD showed its next-generation EPYC Verano CPU at the OCP 2026 Global Summit during CEO Lisa Su's Oct 12 opening keynote, pairing Zen 6 cores with LPDDR5X memory to target agentic AI workloads.

AMD now states up to 192 cores. Verano belongs to the EPYC 9006 LP family and offers up to 192 Zen 6 cores. AMD earlier cited up to 72 cores for the chip.
AMD states up to 192 cores on a single chip.

Verano brings LPDDR5X support via SOCAMM2. It is the first AMD EPYC CPU with an LPDDR memory interface. The SOCAMM2 form factor offers high bandwidth, high capacity and better power efficiency in a compact layout.
