According to Insider Gaming, Pearl Abyss detailed Crimson Desert’s Charting the Unknown DLC, reportedly arriving October 29. Players must finish the main story to access three new arcs, ocean exploration, and ship building. The update also adds underwater areas, romance options, housing upgrades, and three castles.

Pearl Abyss has detailed the features coming to Crimson Desert with the Charting the Unknown DLC, which launches October 29 after a two-week delay the studio announced on September 30.
Underwater exploration and ship building reportedly expand the world.
Three new character storylines and an ocean story. According to Pearl Abyss, the DLC adds separate storylines for Kliff, Oongka and Damiane, which can be started from the Journal menu after finishing the main story. A new ocean-focused storyline becomes available after completing the main story's "Howling Hill" quest.

Underwater exploration and ship building. Pearl Abyss says players can dive into the sea around Pywel to find ruins, treasure chests, and new creatures and mounts. Staying underwater consumes breath, and gear such as a diving suit can extend time below the surface. Once the Greymane Camp is set up at Howling Hill, a related questline unlocks ship building: players can send comrades on a ship-building dispatch mission at a port or buy a ship from a Fleet Office manager, then sail the Great Ocean of Pywel.
Kliff, Oongka and Damiane can deepen NPC relationships to reach romance or marriage.
Romance, marriage and upgraded housing. Pearl Abyss says Kliff, Oongka and Damiane can build trust with some of Pywel's inhabitants, and those relationships can lead to romance and marriage. Close companions may also visit an upgraded Greymane Camp. An upgraded housing system lets players build a house from the ground up, and it unlocks after setting up camp at Howling Hill and completing Luke's Request in the "Grounds of the Sunrise" Greymanes Faction quest.

Castles, business management and Garden of Trials. Per Pearl Abyss, three specific castles can be claimed after completing the main story and related quests and liberating each stronghold, and their courtyards and interiors can then be decorated. Players can also rent and manage businesses, from a restaurant in Vellua to a smithy at Zargan Tankworks. Garden of Trials, a new combat challenge, pits players against bosses from across Pywel one after another, unlocks after the main questline, and grants special rewards.
