Qualcomm said SpaceX selected its Dragonwing cellular platforms for Starlink Mobile's U.S. terrestrial 5G network. SpaceX plans to begin a nationwide rollout in 2027 across tens of thousands of sites. The release does not give a contract value.

Qualcomm has said SpaceX selected its Dragonwing cellular platforms for Starlink Mobile's U.S. terrestrial 5G network. The company said that on Saturday.
bring together advanced Massive MIMO, purpose-built processing and commercial-grade Layer 1 software to help Starlink deliver an exceptional nationwide network.
The rollout is planned, not finished. SpaceX plans to begin a U.S. nationwide deployment in 2027. The agreement covers tens of thousands of sites over multiple years. The release does not give a contract value.

The radios use 64 paths in and out. Starlink Mobile will use Massive MIMO radio units with 64 transmit and 64 receive paths. Qualcomm's QRU100 and QDU100 platforms supply the radio processing and the Layer 1 software.
Starlink is building the first fully-integrated nationwide satellite and terrestrial network that will keep people connected no matter where they are.

Both sides described the work. Durga Malladi, a Qualcomm Technologies executive, said the platforms "bring together advanced Massive MIMO, purpose-built processing and commercial-grade Layer 1 software to help Starlink deliver an exceptional nationwide network." Michael Nicolls, Starlink's senior vice president, said, "Starlink is building the first fully-integrated nationwide satellite and terrestrial network that will keep people connected no matter where they are."

The Circuitry is a passion project I've always wanted to build, and I love the work behind it.

Running it costs real money. APIs, hosting, time. To keep improving the site and growing this into something useful for everyone, those costs have to be covered.

Any contribution is appreciated. If not, no pressure. Thanks for reading.
