Silent Hill: Townfall Confirmed for PS5 Release on September 24

Silent Hill: Townfall will launch on PlayStation 5 on September 24, 2026. The release date was confirmed during a State of Play livestream after the game received its official ESRB rating.

The title carries a Mature rating for blood, strong language, and violence. The ESRB description outlines a narrative in which protagonist Simon Ordell returns to the island of St. Amelia to set things right. He encounters a fog-shrouded town that appears abandoned yet harbors unrest, and he uncovers fragments of a past connected to the location and its inhabitants. The rating also notes specific content including a close-up depiction of a character stabbing a body and a man being eaten by a monster.

Townfall is positioned as the latest entry in the Silent Hill series following Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill f. It is releasing exclusively on PS5 and PC. The game previously appeared in the February State of Play, where Sony devoted a segment to Konami titles that also included Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 and Castlevania: Belmont's Curse.

The ESRB listing surfaced ahead of the June State of Play, prompting speculation of an update that materialized with the confirmed date and a new trailer. The title is described as a self-contained psychological horror experience set against a cold, isolated Scottish-inspired backdrop.
