The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has sold 65 million copies, up five million from last year. CD Projekt Red reports 191 PLN revenue in Q1 2026, partly from the game and Cyberpunk 2077 on Game Pass. The sales momentum supports hiring 42 more developers ahead of a 2027 expansion.

CD Projekt Red's earnings presentation has revealed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has now sold 65 million copies. Eleven years after its release, the game has become a major topic of conversation in the gaming space, all thanks to the new expansion announcements.

The Songs of the Past expansion for the title is all set to release in 2027. It seems it will help drive even more sales for CD Projekt Red's highly revered series.
The title has cemented itself in the list of the top 10 best-selling games of all time.

According to CD Projekt Group's latest earnings, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has hit a new sales milestone with 65 million copies sold. The title has cemented itself in the list of the top 10 best-selling games of all time.

Last year, the game had sold 60 million copies. It has now jumped by 5 million in the span of a year, and the number will seemingly keep increasing as time goes on, especially once the third expansion, Songs of the Past, arrives in 2027.

The earnings report also reveals that CD Projekt Group generated 191 PLN in the first quarter of 2026, a 6% year-on-year increase. A statement by the CFO reveals that there was a solid revenue stream in the first 3 months of the year, most of which came from Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3, along with their addition to Xbox Game Pass Premium and Ultimate.

The dev team is also increasing, adding 42 more developers across various projects between February and April 2026. The sales momentum for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt forms a key part of that performance.
