Capcom will discontinue Dragon's Dogma 2's deluxe edition and remove several progression microtransactions on 24-25 June ahead of the Dark Arisen expansion. The changes come with a permanent base-game discount and a two-part improvement roadmap for the title that has seen no major updates in over a year.
The announcement arrived shortly after last week's Nintendo Direct, where the surprise reveal of Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen for Nintendo Switch 2 drew widespread attention.
After more than a year without significant patches to address performance problems or New Game Plus enemy scaling, Capcom has now shared a two-part roadmap of improvements ahead of the Dark Arisen release.
