Sony Announces PS Plus Essential Games for June 2026
TL;DRAI · 60 sec read

Sony announced the free PlayStation Plus Essential games for June 2026. The lineup includes Grounded Fully Yoked Edition, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. Subscribers can download them starting June 2 on PS4 and PS5. These monthly titles give members access to new games as part of their subscription.

Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed Tuesday the three titles arriving as free downloads for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers in June 2026. The reported lineup consists of Grounded Fully Yoked Edition, the Nickelodeon-themed fighter and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, all available beginning June 2.

Grounded Fully Yoked Edition

Obsidian Entertainment’s survival title places diminutive characters in a hostile backyard world. Participants can play alone or team with as many as three others online to collect materials, construct bases, fashion equipment and fend off hostile wildlife. The “Fully Yoked Edition” designation matches the 1.4 update issued in 2024 that introduced additional ant queens, new-game-plus options and further content. That same patch marked the game’s debut on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch after earlier launches on Xbox and Windows PC. The edition will be offered on both PS4 and PS5.
New characters Squidward Tentacles, Jimmy Neutron, and the Angry Beavers join the roster.

Nickelodeon fighter

The platform brawler sequel to the Smash Bros.-style original adds full voice acting across its cast, cross-play support and refreshed visuals. Squidward Tentacles, Jimmy Neutron and the Angry Beavers expand the roster. A roguelike narrative mode and assorted side games provide options for single-player sessions. The title reaches PS4 and PS5, although Sony noted it will not be offered in Korea via the subscription service.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide

Fatshark’s cooperative first-person shooter follows the Left 4 Dead-inspired formula established in Warhammer: Vermintide 2. Teams undertake dangerous assignments on behalf of the Imperium, battling through hordes afflicted by Nurgle before returning to the starship hub known as The Mourningstar. The game is available on PS5 only.

PlayStation Plus subscribers may still claim May 2026’s Essential offerings — EA Sports FC 26, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers and Nine Sols — until June 1. EA Sports FC 26 will continue to be accessible as a monthly title through June 16. PlayStation Plus Essential, the entry-level tier of Sony’s subscription service, supplies online multiplayer, a rotating selection of complimentary PS4 and PS5 games, cloud saves and store discounts. Following a recent price hike across all tiers, the plan costs $79.99 per year, $27.99 for three months or $10.99 monthly.
It is a cooperative first-person shooter where you and a ragtag crew are hauled off on a series of harrowing missions for the fascist Imperium.
The June lineup arrives one month after Sony raised prices for every PlayStation Plus subscription tier.
