Warhorse Studios Announces Open World Middle-earth RPG
Warhorse Studios has announced development of an open world Middle-earth RPG while also working on a new Kingdom Come adventure. The projects are early in development from the team behind the acclaimed Kingdom Come: Deliverance series, whose realistic mechanics could shape a very different take on the fantasy license.

The announcement also disclosed that Warhorse Studios has a new Kingdom Come adventure in the works. The studio's wording in its social media post does not mention the Deliverance subtitle, suggesting this project could differ from the previous two titles.

The direction Warhorse Studios takes with its The Lord of the Rings game will be interesting. The studio has made a name for itself on realistic and fairly complex mechanics and life simulator features.
In the two Kingdom Come: Deliverance titles, players have to take care of their clothing, wash themselves, and be careful not to get caught in places they shouldn't be. These kinds of considerations do not usually make their way into the most mainstream games, which a Lord of the Rings experience would be.
The project is in the hands of a skilled RPG studio. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 launched last year to universal acclaim, earning a rare 10/10 score from Push Square. The review stated: "Challenging, uncompromising, and thoroughly engrossing, it's in a league almost entirely of its own."

The Circuitry is a passion project I've always wanted to build, and I love the work behind it.
Running it costs real money. APIs, hosting, time. To keep improving the site and growing this into something useful for everyone, those costs have to be covered.
