WhatsApp said Events invites can now go to people who do not have the app. They can see details and RSVP from a link, and an Events Home collects invites and responses. The update rolls out over the following weeks.

WhatsApp said it is updating Events so an invite can reach people who do not have a WhatsApp account. Those guests can see details and RSVP without downloading the app. The company named no price and no start date beyond a rollout over the following weeks.
The updated Events is rolling out to everyone over the following weeks.
An invite can now leave the app. WhatsApp said a host can create an event, add a cover photo, and share a link. A person without an account can open that link, see the details, and RSVP. The company framed the change as a way to include friends who are not on WhatsApp, including for holiday meetups. It did not say the link works as a ticket or a payment.

Events Home is the new planning screen. WhatsApp said a new Events Home is the place to create and send customized invites and manage RSVPs. Hosts can set custom reminders and add a plus one. In Settings, under Events, a person can see past and upcoming events, including ones they created and ones they were invited to.

The privacy rules are specific. WhatsApp said a phone number is not shown to guests the host does not know. A guest without a WhatsApp account sees the event address only after they RSVP. The company said personal messages and calls remain private and end-to-end encrypted. It did not say the event page or the RSVP list is encrypted.

The updated Events is rolling out to everyone over the following weeks. The November post does not name a country, a phone platform, or a day when the update finishes. It does not say existing events are converted, and it does not give a guest limit.

The Circuitry is a passion project I've always wanted to build, and I love the work behind it.

Running it costs real money. APIs, hosting, time. To keep improving the site and growing this into something useful for everyone, those costs have to be covered.

Any contribution is appreciated. If not, no pressure. Thanks for reading.
