Certain Affinity, the developer behind the canceled Project Tatanka battle royale mode for Halo Infinite, received approval to prototype Project Ekur. The prototype tested two goals: whether Slipspace and Blam assets could transfer to Unreal Engine 5 and whether the engine could deliver the Halo feel.
